Traditional flower making workshop by Mayo Traveller Movement CHW Ladies

The Mayo Traveller Movement CHW Ladies will host a Traditional Crepe Flower Making Workshop as part of Culture Night, celebrating a cherished heritage craft that has been passed down through generations of Traveller ladies. This beautiful tradition is an important expression of Mincéir (Irish Traveller) culture and identity and continues to be celebrated at cultural events and within Traveller communities.

Visitors are invited to drop in, learn about the history and significance of this traditional craft, and have a go at creating their own colourful crepe paper flower.
