Arts for All at the Linenhall - we believe that everyone in the community should have the opportunity to access excellent arts experiences.

Located in the heart of Castlebar, Mayo’s county town, the Linenhall Arts Centre presents a series of live events and arts experiences throughout the year for audiences of all ages. On a most basic level we believe that art has the potential to improve the lives of those who engage with it.

Our priorities are: our artists; our audiences; our children and young people.

We are multi-purpose, multi-disciplinary arts venue and our beautiful, historic building is home to a 144 seat theatre, a visual art gallery, a community art gallery, a coffee shop, an artists studio and a community arts room. For more information on the history of our building visit Our history.

Our eclectic and high-quality programme includes music, theatre, visual arts, literature, cultural cinema, creative learning and RoolaBoola, one of the leading children’s arts festivals in Ireland.

We are currently working on a new Strategic Plan: 2024-2029 which will be co-designed with our audience members, key stakeholders and partners in the community. Keep an eye out for updates later this year.
