Young Playwrights Mayo - Info Day

Fighting Words Mayo, in conjunction with The Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar, is offering a unique opportunity for enthusiastic young people to take part in an intensive playwriting programme. The programme comprises a series of 6 playwriting workshops in which each participant will work towards creating their own short play, gaining lots of tips and guidance from trained mentors. Each play will be directed and performed by a professional director and actors delivering a rehearsed staged reading at the Linenhall before an invited audience.

Participation is Free
We are now in search of enthusiastic young writers aged 15-18 to take part in the programme. Participation is free of charge. However, participants must commit to attending each workshop and all rehearsals with the theatre professionals.

Unique Opportunity

The workshop programme is free of charge to participants thanks to Fighting Words, funding from the Arts Council via The Linenhall Arts Centre.
