Welcome to the Linenhall World Book Club. A monthly meeting for curious readers who love great books. Our global selections will cover all formats: from serious literature to light summer reads, modern fiction, translations, earlier works or popular classics.
Novembers selection is: Like Water For Chocolate by laura Esquivel

About the author:
Laura Esquivel is a Mexican novelist, screenwriter, and former politician best known for her internationally acclaimed debut novel Like Water for Chocolate (Como agua para chocolate). Blending magical realism with deep cultural roots, the novel became a bestseller in Mexico and the United States and was adapted into a successful film that received multiple international awards.
Book Club members will be encouraged to get actively involved in the selection process in the succeeding months. The book for the following month will be decided at the end of each session.

About the host:
Michael Minassie is a Journalist, with over thirty years experience. He is producer and host of Mekelle Foresight, a high profile interview show on politics of the Horn of Africa. He also contributes to Community Radio Castlebar FM.
