Join us at the Linenhall in Castlebar for a celebration of Mayo indie short films and filmmakers. This special screening event will showcase a selection of short films from some of the county’s most exciting emerging filmmakers.
From tense dramas to darkly comic tales, each film offers a distinct, authentic voice, rooted in local experience – proof that great storytelling doesn’t need a big budget…just a big imagination.
Where the Old Man Lives
In rural Ireland, an old man living in fear and isolation risks everything to protect himself from dangerous intruders.
Starring Michael Harding, Ruth McCabe and Michael Patric.
Written and produced by Mayo natives Eamonn Keane (Kilmaine) and Ruaidhrí Hallinan (Carnacon).
Vanilla
When a villager meets his local doctor in the pub, the doctor reveals a test he carried out to confirm the legitimacy of his new-born baby.
