High Flyers Community Orchestra & Music West Big Band

The High-Flyers Community Orchestra and the Music West Big Band would like to invite you to join them at the Linenhall for a fabulous evening of the best in music and song. The sumptuous sounds of the High-Flyers will transport you to a world of musical magic and the swinging rhythms of the Music West Big Band will have you dancing in the aisles.

High-Flyers Community Orchestra draws musicians from all over Mayo to perform a selection of classical, folk and film music. Players of approx. grade 3+ standard are encouraged to discover the charm of playing music with others, even if it's been a while since they've played their instrument. The atmosphere is encouraging and supportive, performances are varied and newcomers are welcomed.

The Music West Big Band is the west of Ireland’s newest jazz orchestra. Joined by the fabulous vocal talents of Denise Guilfoyle, Niamh O’Flanagan, Thomas Chambers and Siobhan Sheil we play a varied repertoire of big band Jazz, Swing, Latin and Rhythm and Blues from Glenn Miller through Count Basie, Sinatra and Ella to Marc Almond, Caro Emerald and Kirsty McColl.
