Celebrating an extraordinary 41 years at the forefront of Irish traditional music, Cherish the Ladies stands as one of the most beloved and critically acclaimed ensembles on the world stage.

Fresh from being named TG4’s Gradam Cheoil 2026 “Music Group of the Year”, Ireland’s highest honor in traditional music, the ensemble continues to set the standard for excellence while celebrating the release of their brand-new album, The Bridge of Dreams.

Founded in 1985, this trailblazing, Grammy-nominated ensemble shattered barriers for women in Irish music, becoming one of the longest-running all-female groups in any genre. Over four decades, they have forged an extraordinary legacy with 19 critically acclaimed albums and thousands of performances worldwide—from the world’s most prestigious concert halls to the Olympic Games and the White House. Their collaborations include more than 300 performances with symphony orchestras, establishing them as the most successful Celtic Pops ensemble in history.

Led since its inception by internationally renowned flute and whistle virtuoso Joanie Madden, recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellowship—America’s highest honor in the folk and traditional arts—the ensemble features Mary Coogan, Mirella Murray, Kathleen Boyle, Nollaig Casey, and Kate Purcell. Together, they celebrate the rich musical heritage passed down through generations, presenting a thrilling combination of virtuosic instrumental performances, soaring vocals, dazzling championship step dancing, and the warmth, humor, and camaraderie that have become the signature of every Cherish the Ladies concert.

Joining them on stage will be an outstanding cast of World Champion Irish dancers, whose breathtaking artistry, athleticism, and electrifying performances add another spectacular dimension to this unforgettable celebration of Irish music, song, and dance.

Audiences will also be among the first to experience music from The Bridge of Dreams, the ensemble’s acclaimed new recording, making this concert both a celebration of their remarkable legacy and an exciting look toward the next chapter of Cherish the Ladies.
