Mike Nielsen Workshop: Navigating the Guitar Fretboard

The Linenhall Arts Centre is teaming up with Music Generation Mayo to present an upcoming workshop for under 18s by renowned guitarist Mike Nielsen, on March 7th from 5-6pm. Nielsen brings a wealth of experience to the table, having embarked on a distinguished career in music spanning over two decades. Since the late 90s, Mike Nielsen has captivated audiences with his solo performances and is recgnised internationally for his exceptional talent and unique musical voice. Nielsen has released two solo CDs and was selected to open performances for Elvin Jones and John McLaughlin.

The workshop promises to be an eye-opening experience for guitar enthusiasts of all levels, offering insights into tuning, fretboard template, essential theoretical knowledge, technique, chords, strumming, scales, keys and styles. In addition to their guitars, attendees are asked to bring a tuner and a capo if possible.
