The Linenhall has a dedicated visual-arts space located on the first floor. It is accessible via the stairs from the coffee shop, the stairs from the foyer, or the lift also located in the foyer. With three large south-facing windows the gallery has reasonable natural daylight. The lighting system includes six tracks, each with a series of spots and washes. As the gallery occupies the entire upper floor of the original Linen Hall and is invigilated by the main administrative office it occupies a central place in life of the Linenhall Arts Centre.
The Linenhall Gallery shows a range of contemporary art in a series of exhibitions throughout the year. The work ranges from that of younger emerging artists to those of international reputation. A quality full-colour invitation accompanies each exhibition and gallery talks and workshops are frequently programmed during its run.
