VISUAL ART: FOYER Tuesday 10 March - Saturday 21 March 2020
The Art Department at St Gerald's College is a vibrant environment with on-going projects in a variety of visual art disciplines and crafts. Students of all ages are encouraged to express their creative side and to develop their art, craft and design skills at St Geralds.
This exhibition celebrates the work of the students and features work in linoprint, drawing and other formats. Linoprinting involves design skills with simplification of a drawing, transfer of design to lino and then carving and cutting the lino to achieve a variety of marks. The lino is then inked and printed to achieve a series of prints. The linoprint works are evidence of the students design, cutting and planning skills combined with creative choices.
St Gerald's College Art and Design students and Art and Design Teacher Jean Bourke invite you all to attend.
