Sean Nos Dance Workshops
with Emma O\'Sullivan: 5 Wednesday evenings from 25th January to 22nd February 2012
Join sean-nós dancer Emma O' Sullivan for a series of five dance classes, which will keep you on your toes (and heels!). Emma hails from Connemara. Her late grandfather, Johnny Coyne, gave Emma her first introduction to Irish traditional music, song and dance as a young child. She won the All-Ireland Sean-Nós Dancing title at Oireachtas na Samhna in Letterkenny in 2009 and was a finalist in RTE's "The All Ireland Talent Show" in 2010. She dances in a flowing, relaxed and spirited style, and her dancing has been described as a breath of fresh air and an experience to be relished. Described by many as a natural teacher, Emma teaches full-time passing her skills to students in primary, secondary and third level institutions throughout the west. Sean Nós Dance Workshops take place over five Wednesday evenings beginning 25th January (continuing 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, February).
